A loan of $1,175 helped to buy staple grains, candy, juice, cookies, bread, and soft drinks.

Mercedes's story

Mercedes runs a small grocery store from her home. She has four children, two of which are her dependents. She started this business ten years ago, mainly selling candy for children. Little by little, she reinvested in her business in such a way that she was able to sell staple grains, which is what people buy the most. She asserts that her goal in starting this business was to find an alternative resource to be able to take care of her children. Nevertheless, this business has done a great deal to help them get ahead, since her children can have the opportunity to go to school. She is currently asking for a loan to buy merchandise. She wants to invest mainly in basic grains, candy, juice, cookies, bread, and soft drinks.
