Na'eema is a 59-year-old woman. She is married and has four sons and one daughter. She lives in Rafah city in Gaza located in Palestine. Her husband is a Palestinian National Authority employee who gets a modest salary.
Na'eema has her own project, that is, sewing clothes. She wants to purchase a new sewing machine instead of the old one to improve the quality of clothes she tailors and so increase the family income. The amount of money Na'eema has isn't enough to pay, so she needs to take a loan of $1,500 from FATEN.
When Na'eema gets her FATEN loan, which is repaid on a monthly basis, she will purchase a new sewing machine and be able to improve the quality of clothes she tailors. That will increase her income and lead to improving her family's life. Na'eema is photographed working at her project, next to the sewing machine she wants to replace with a new one.
