A loan of $450 helped to buy bananas and consumables to prepare food.

Ida's story

Ida is 45 years old. She is a very friendly woman, cheerful and hardworking. She lives with her partner and their 3 children, of which only 2 are minors and dependent on her. They live together in their own house bought through effort and hard work. Ida's job entails leaving home early to go to the port in search of bananas, as it is her main ingredient. Currently the price of bananas is high but she has to buy them to continue working. She has a space in her house set up for her where she prepares chifles, savoury snacks made of fried bananas and salt. With this work and the help of her partner she was able to support her family. She has spent 5 years doing this work, work which her own children are learning from. She hopes that in the future she will be able to sell food; this is a dream she wants to achieve. This will be her second loan with MFP and hopes for the support of all of you so she can continue with her work. With the requested loan, she will buy bananas and ingredients to make her chifles and sell food.
