A loan of $550 helped to buy bales of handbags, bedsheets, tablecloths, tea towels, etc.

Julienne's story

This woman is 52 years old, married, and a mother to four children ranging in age from 12 to 24 years old. She started selling second-hand goods in 2008 with a capital of 95,000F. She is friendly, her prices are affordable, and she is very discriminating in her selection of merchandise. Her daily sales average 30,000 to 50,000F. Poor quality items, if any, are marked down to allow her to recoup her investment.

She will use the current loan to strengthen her business by buying one bale of handbags, some bed sheets, one bale of discontinued towels, and half a bale of tablecloths and tea towels. These are seasonal purchases.

Highly motivated, she plans to sell a lot in order to save and prepare for the next cycle. Her goal is to increase her income, buy a plot of land, and build a store to sell second-hand merchandise.

She helps to support her family both morally and financially by ensuring their well-being. Those close to her appreciate her, and they believe that she is doing very well as she sells at least two bales per week.
