Osvalda's story

60-year-old Osvalda is a widow. She lives in her own home which has all basic services. It is located in the urban area of José Leonardo Ortiz district, in the province of Chiclayo. This area is noted for its commercial and public service activity.

Osvalda sells all kinds of pulses (legumes) from a stall that she has in Moshoqueque market. Her business has been open every day for the past five years. She has her own customer base and has become known for the good-quality products that she offers her customers. She uses her income to cover her daily needs.

Osvalda has requested a loan for 3,000 Peruvian soles from Edpyme Alternativa to buy more pulses (legumes) which she will continue selling to other vendors. She will use her profits to repay her loan and improve her quality of life at home. In spite of her age, Osvalda serves her customers every day with cheerfulness and respect. She has the desire to continue working so that she can continue improving.
