The communal bank is called "EL TREBOL MAGICO" (The Magic Clover) because it is believed that a four-leaf clover brings good luck. The goup is located in Hidalgo, México and is comprised of 12 members. Mrs. Ana is one of the entrepreneurs in the group. She is 26 years old and has a secondary level of education. She is married and has a 3-year-old son. She earns her living through the chicken shop she opened two years ago. Since then her customer base has been increasing gradually, so much so that now she is requesting a loan to buy fresh chicken and continue investing in the business. This will allow her to meet the growing demand. She is happy with the business since the income she gets from it is an important part of the household economy. Thanks to her work she has been able to buy more furniture for the home and give her son a better future.
El grupo se llama "EL TREBOL MAGICO" debido a que se tiene la creencia de que el trebol de cuatro hojas da buena fortuna. El grupo esta ubicado en el estado de Hidalgo en Mexico. El grupo esta conformado por 12 integrantes. La señora Ana es una las mujeres emprendedoras que integran el grupo. Ella tiene 26 años de edad, estudio hasta la secundaria, esta casada y tiene un hijo de 3 años de edad. Ella es comerciate, tiene una polleria que abrio hace 2 años y desde la fecha sus clientes han ido en aumento por lo cual solicita el prestamo para comprar pollo fresco y así seguir invirtiendo en su negocio y asi poder cubrir la creciente demanda de su polleria. La señora esta muy contenta con su negocio ya que los ingreos que obtiene son un importante aporte para la economia de su hogar, ella comenta que gracias a su trabajo ha podido comprar mas muebles para su hogar, pero sobre todo puede brindarle un mejor futuro a su hijo.

This is a Group Loan
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
