A loan of $3,900 helped a member to buy fresh chicken.

El Trebol Magico Group's story

The communal bank is called "EL TREBOL MAGICO" (The Magic Clover) because it is believed that a four-leaf clover brings good luck. The goup is located in Hidalgo, México and is comprised of 12 members. Mrs. Ana is one of the entrepreneurs in the group. She is 26 years old and has a secondary level of education. She is married and has a 3-year-old son. She earns her living through the chicken shop she opened two years ago. Since then her customer base has been increasing gradually, so much so that now she is requesting a loan to buy fresh chicken and continue investing in the business. This will allow her to meet the growing demand. She is happy with the business since the income she gets from it is an important part of the household economy. Thanks to her work she has been able to buy more furniture for the home and give her son a better future.
