A loan of $1,000 helped to buy merchandise such as rice, oil, and beans to sell in her small grocery store. She also wants to buy cosmetics, clothes, and perfumes to sell in her small clothing store.

Gabriela Milagro's story

Gabriela is 27 years old, married, and a native of the city of Leon. She is a business woman. She owns a small grocery store as well as a small clothing store. She is studying accounting and is in her second year. She started her own business when she was 23 years old. After getting married, she couldn't find a hobby. She found her life very routine and felt overwhelmed. Her mom encouraged her to start her business as a hobby. She remembers that she started with a small capital of less than $200 dollars and that in a short amount of time she realized that more than a hobby, it was a source of income. This made her feel more useful. Later on, she started a small store which helps her pay for her college education. She is requesting the loan to buy merchandise such as rice, sugar, oil, and beans to sell in her grocery store. She also wants to buy cosmetics, clothes, and perfumes to sell in her clothing store. With this investment, her clients will feel more attracted by the variety of products that her store will offer and her earnings will increase. One of her goals is to turn her small grocery store into a wholesale store and also to turn her small clothing store into a store with a variety of products for clothing and everyday products. She also wants to finish her college studies.
