A loan of $1,100 helped to buy clothing and shoes.

Malik's story

Mr Malik is 37 years old, married and a father of four. He lives with his family in Sanoubougou I - Sikasso (third administrative region of the Republic of Mali).
He has been excelling in the ready-to-wear business for 14 years, this after unsuccessfully trying out several businesses. Given the increase in his clientele and the insufficiency of his personal resources to satisfy his customers' expectations, he assessed that joining micro-finance organization Soro Yiriwaso would be useful, and requested a first individual loan, which was repaid timely. Similarly, he is requesting this second loan to purchase 15 different shirts, 17 pairs of trousers of various qualities, 15 different pairs of shoes (brands such as Soulier, Ferardine, etc.), five suits, ten tee-shirts, five sets of underwear, etc.
He gets his supplies from Bamako to retail in his shop located at the heart of the bus station in Sikasso, with a clientele mostly comprising travelers and carriers.
With this loan, he is planning on an average monthly profit of 140,000 FCFA, which will allow him to increase his working capital, and also to honor his commitment to Soro Yiriwaso and pay for other family expenses.
