Rosemarie's story

Rosemarie is 33 years old and married with two school-aged children. She lives in Sto. Niño, Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur, Philippines. Rosemarie is a farmer who grows palay (unmilled rice) to earn a living. She has been doing this for four years on cloudy or even rainy days when necessary. Rosemarie earns 10,000 PHP a month which includes all permanent and impermanent sources. She has been a member of GDMPC since 2009 and has taken out five previous loans from the cooperative.

Rosemarie is requesting a 25,000 PHP loan from GDMPC to purchase fertilizer to facilitate crop growth. In the future, she hopes to have a good harvest and plans to apply appropriate pest-and-insect-fighters to avoid plant devastation. She furthermore aims to expand her business to supplement her family's income.
