A loan of $375 helped to stock his butcher's shop.

Rolando's story

40-year-old Rolando lives with his wife Guadalupe. The couple have one son: 14-year-old Cristian. The three of them live together in their own home which is located in the city of Tarma. For 16 years, this hard-working man has been buying and selling sheep, cows and pigs. He fattens them, kills them and then sells them in the butcher's shop which he acquired in the 'Mercado Modelo' market in his city through a lot of effort and commitment. His busiest days are Thursdays and Sundays. However, Rolando doesn't just carry out this one business, he also started providing a public transport service three years ago. He covers the Tarma - Palcamayo route which makes him additional income. He tells us that while he is out working with his car every day his wife looks after the butcher's shop.

Rolando plans to buy a better car and also to have a better butcher's shop with all kinds of cold meats and sausages. He hopes that this will make him better income which he can use to provide his daughter with a good education. Rolando belongs to the "Mirando a un futuro mejor" community bank and this is his 12th loan from MFP. He is a responsible and serious member of his bank as he is the bank's president. He works diligently and very responsibly to constantly help the members of the bank move forward and develop. With your support, Rolando will use the money he has requested to buy several kilos of lamb, beef and pork. He will use this to stock his butcher's shop.
