A loan of $600 helped to buy meat and calves that are not yet born. This is one of the products that her customers request the most, and they turnover very quickly.

Belquiz's story

When our advisor visited Belquiz, she found her very happy with her Kiva loan. She was providing maintenance to her refrigeration equipment, and she now preserves her red meat better. She even had enough money to buy in greater volume, and she has more customers.

She is currently applying for a new Kiva loan in order to increase her working capital. She previously only sold to neighbors, and now with new customers from bordering neighborhoods, she needs even more money to make her purchases.

Her message to the lenders is the following: “Thanks to God and the Kiva lenders for the opportunity they have given me. With the loan I received I was able to drive my business and receive profits that were used for my family. Keep supporting me in order to increase my possibilities.”

She will use the new Kiva loan to buy meat and calves that are not yet born. This is one of the products that her customers request the most, and they turnover very quickly. Her investment is successful because she has a lot of experience in the market, she works through scheduled sales, she gets an order, and then she delivers it.
