Las Comadres Group's story

This group has 12 indigenous members who are engaged in different business activities. They set up their group in order to expand their businesses. They are all neighbors from the same town.

This group is called 'Las Comadres'. Most of the members are friends and neighbors from the same town. The group's representative is Teresa who is 45 years old and happily married to Luís Ignacio. The couple have two children. It was Teresa who invited her neighbors to join this group.

Teresa has been working as a hairdresser for five years. She has a place in her home where she serves her customers. Teresa finished high school. On Sundays she attends computer courses as she would like to improve herself. Teresa requested this loan to buy more products for her salon such as scissors, tweezers, hair slides, nail acrylic, rollers and hair straightening liquid. Her dreams are to expand her business and for her children to finish their studies. She works to help her children and to help her husband with their household expenses.
