Mrs. M. D. H. belongs to the Las Aves Fenix Community Bank located en 241 Jr. Grau Street, Calleria district, Ucayali department. She is 54 years old and has 5 children. All but one still depends on her. She is married and her husband is a cargo operator. With the first loan of 300 soles(Peruvian currency) that she received from Manuela Ramos, she decided to invest it in a small pantry shop.

Currently she has a grocery store and she also rents sound equipment for local social events. She gets up at 6 a.m. to start working on her house chores and at the same time she runs her business until 8 p.m.

With the 1,000 soles(Peruvian currency) loan, which she promises to pay back in 5 months, she will buy: 1 sack of rice, 1 sack of sugar, 1 box of oil, 2 boxes of eggs, 1 package of detergent, 1 box of soap, 1 package of noodles, 1 package of flour and 1 box of carbonated beverages.

Olga feels that her life has change. She feels more calm and at ease economically because her business allows her to be close to her family and tend to her customers. Olga can contribute to the household and although she has aged and lost one of her children, those are not things that can stop her determination to achieve important things in life. She give thanks for the support that the Manuela Ramos institution gives her in a constant basis.

Con el préstamo D. S/. 1,000, el cual pagará en 5 meses, comprará 1 saco D. arroz, 1 saco D. azúcar, 1 caja D. aceite, 2 cajas D. huevo, 1 paquete D. detergente, 1 caja D. jabón, 1 paquete D. fideos, 1 paquete D. harina y 1 caja D. refrescos.

Olga siente que su vida cambió, está más descansada y tranquila económicamente porque su negocio le permite estar cerca D. su familia y esperar a sus clientes, además pueD. aportar en su hogar y también que a pesar D. su edad y a la pérdida D. uno D. sus hijos no es impedimento para lograr cosas importantes y agradece el apoyo que Manuela Ramos le brinda.
