Mexico / Fish Selling

A loan of $650 helped buy fish to sell.

Gilberto's story

Señor Gilberto is forty years old. Along with his wife Rocío, he sells fish for a living. He has a son named Carlos Arturo who is 18 years old and is a high school student. He really likes his business because he makes a good living. He started selling house to house with his wife and they sold only fish. Now, he has a fixed location in the market where he also sells octopus, clams, fish fillets and shrimp. On the weekends he goes to other locations to sell and deliver fish he sells wholesale.

He is requesting a loan to buy more fish so he can increase his earnings and give his family a better life and so that his son can finish his studies. One of his dreams is to have a seafood restaurant since he knows how to prepare seafood. He is grateful for the support Fundación has given him to get ahead and fulfill his dreams and for being involved with them.
