A loan of $200 helped to buy merchandise (vegetables) and to cover for her travel expenses.

Victoria's story

Victoria belongs to the CUSCO community bank which is located in Huanchac district, in Cusco province and department. She is 67 years old, widowed, and has three children who all live independently. Victoria is a retailer. She transports merchandise to Puerto Maldonado and there she sells vegetables wholesale and retail to her different contacts. She transports vegetables which are grown in the Peruvian Andes such as tomatoes, spinach, basil, parsley, celery, radishes, garlic, lettuce, green onions, etc. Victoria needs this loan to invest in buying vegetables wholesale and to cover her travel expenses. Victoria is grateful for the support that she will receive and, for her part, she pledges to make her repayments in a disciplined manner.
