A loan of $575 helped to buy more up-to-date games and to make some changes in order to provide a comfortable environment.

Marlon Arley's story

26-year-old Marlon lives with his wife and two children. His children are 4 years and 4 months respectively. Marlon has an establishment where he provides a video game service. He has six television sets and people come to play games. He has been working in this business for approximately six years. There are other establishments locally which offer the same services but he hopes to survive by gradually using more technology. He started his business as he needed to make income to cover his household expenses and, together with his wife, provide his family with more comfort.

This Kiva loan is the first loan that Marlon has received from Fundación Mario Santo Domingo. He will use it to buy more up-to-date games and also make some changes in order to provide a comfortable environment for his discerning customers. Marlon's biggest challenge is obtaining funding in order to increase his working capital and this is precisely the path that he will open up by accessing these loans.
