A loan of $1,100 helped to buy animal feed and to repair her home.

Juana Esperanza's story

44-year-old Juana lives with her husband and children in her own home which doesn't have basic services and is located in the rural part of Olmos district, in Lambayeque department. This area is known for its farming and livestock raising.

For several years, Juana has been raising and selling sheep. Her animal pen is located behind her home and is both suitable and spacious. She feeds her animals balanced animal feed and natural fodder so that they achieve an ideal level of growth which enables her to sell them in the different markets in her area, making good profits with which to cover her family's needs.

Juana has requested a loan for 3,000 Peruvian soles from Edpyme Alternativa to buy balanced animal feed and also to make some repairs to her home in order to make it safer. She will keep her animals well fed which will enable her to sell them at a better price. She will use the profits that she makes from selling her animals to repay her loan and also enjoy a better quality of life. Juana is a hard-working woman who, with effort, has known how to get her family ahead in life, providing them with more comforts and opportunities.
