A loan helped to pay for cages and fodder for ornamental birds.

Jamela's story

Jamela is a 40-year-old woman. She is married and has four sons and one daughter. She lives in Jenin city located in Palestine. Jamela and her husband are employed with decent salaries, but Jamela also has a project raising ornamental birds to sell, which is a good source of income for her family. Jamela wants to buy more new cages and fodder for the ornamental birds she is raising to sell, but the amount of money Jamela has isn't enough to pay. So, she needs to take a loan from FATEN for $3,000.

When Jamela has the loan from FATEN, which is repaid on a monthly basis, she will be able to increase the number of cages for sale and to buy fodder to feed the ornamental birds to stay for a longer time. That will improve the family's source of income, especially since there is a good demand for this kind of bird.

Jamela is a conservative woman, so her husband is photographed instead while holding his son.
