A loan of $1,425 helped a member to buy clothes to sell.

Shaheen's Group's story

Shaheen supports her family financially by stitching clothes and selling clothes. Mostly her clients are from her community. They give her regular orders because she offers them a good variety of clothes to buy. She is married and has five children. Two of her sons are married and operate a printing business. Her second son is a rickshaw driver. Her daughters are enrolled in a school and getting their education. Shaheen has applied for a loan from Kiva partner Asasah for her business selling clothes. With the loan, she will buy clothes in bulk to be able to provide a variety to her clients and increase her sales. She has been operating her business for the past eight years and hopes that by offering a better variety of clothes to her clients, she will be able to earn more profits and improve the living standard of her family.
