A loan of $600 helped to buy new lines of snacks to diversify and have a well-stocked shop.

Nelis Beatriz's story

Nelis is 43 years old and lives with her two children, aged 16 and 21 years old. She owns a school store where she sells soft drinks and packed lunches. She initiated the business with her savings and also with the support of the educational institute at which her son studies. This support afforded her the opportunity to have the school store, a business which generates income for the support of her two children. She began by selling fruit cups and gradually introduced other products, such as sodas, juices and snacks in general. Her goal is to obtain funding as her working capital is not sufficient to achieve growth. This is precisely why she has turned to credikiva and it is the first time she has approached the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo for financing, with which she will buy new lines of snacks to diversify and have a well-stocked shop. This investment will be successful for the potential of the fixed customers that she has at the school and also for her personal work experience in the business and her strong drive to improve her children's welfare everyday.
