Daphrose is a merchant, 47 years old, who lives in the town of Mweya in Gitega Province. She has been selling food in a restaurant for sixteen years, as well as embroidery. She is also a farmer. She went to school through the 6th grade. She is divorced and has eight children, of whom four are in school with one in middle school.

The Kiva loan of 80,000 Fbu is going to enable her to increase her capital to buy a lot of supplies, such as flour and thread for her embroidery, with the goal of making a large profit.
