Chipenyo's story

Chipenyo is a married woman with four children. Three of her children attend school, while two are still too young for school. She owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is food for the family.



For the past year, she has operated a charcoal-selling business. Specifically, she sells charcoal from her home to her neighbors and passersby. She faces a major challenge due to the high cost of transportation in her business. Her dream is to establish a wholesale business of charcoal-selling in the future.
