A loan of $1,075 helped to pay labor on the repair of his vehicle.

Jose Humberto's story

José Humberto is 42 years old. He is a truck driver, married, and the father of two children. He and his family live in Colonia Bella Vista in the city of Danli.
José transports heavy freight and travels extensively throughout the country carrying merchandise and consequently, hardly spends any time with his family. So, three years ago, he was presented with the opportunity to purchase a taxi license and then without much thought, decided to buy it as well as a used car for the taxi service. His work day begins early in the morning and ends late at night. As his own boss, when his wife and family need him, he happily sets aside time for them.
He needs the loan to buy tires and to repair the taxi’s engine. With the support of this loan, José will maintain his vehicle in good condition and will be able to continue having a source of income to support his family. His challenge is saving a little of his daily income so that he can purchase a new vehicle and stop spending so much on the maintenance of his current vehicle since it is old.
This is his first loan cycle with FAMA and he hopes to be able make his payments on time
