A loan of $675 helped to buy a head of cattle and some concentrated feed at 50,000 francs.

Ngor's story

This borrower is a young man who lives in a village near a large city where he is employed as a taxi driver. Unable to improve his family’s living conditions, he decided to join the micro-finance institution U-IMCEC to access credit in order to acquire his own vehicle. He has also started raising livestock to increase his savings and to gather the funds necessary for a substantial loan. In this regard, he is requesting a loan of 250,000 francs to buy a head of cattle and 50,000 francs of feed concentrate. The revenues from the sale of this livestock will enable him to help feed his family but also help to obtain a loan for buying a vehicle.
