A loan of $4,200 helped a member to pay for 4 baskets of fish.

Esperance Group's story

Our client, Esperance, is the leader of the business group “Changamuka”. She is a young entrepreneur, 35 years old, a widow, and the mother of four young children, who are still in primary school. Esperance sells fish (fresh, smoked, and salted). She sets up her merchandise at the communal market Himbi-katindo. She has been working in these kinds of small-scale businesses for nine years.

However, Esperance just completed eight loan cycles with Hekima. This new loan must serve to supply her with four baskets of fish to sell. In addition, she would like to see her children grow up comfortably and to expand her enterprise.

Our client thanks Hekima for the actions it takes in favor of poor women excluded from traditional banks.
