Parachichi Group's story

Mary, who is in her late-20s, is married with two children and one of them goes to school. She has had a charcoal business for two years now. She works from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily and is able to make a good monthly profit. This will be her second loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loan to buy four sacks of charcoal and pay for household expenses. She paid back her loan successfully. She wants a loan to buy more sacks of charcoal. Her dream is to one day be able to open a retail shop. She will share this loan with her loan group, "Parachichi," which has a total of 17 members. They will hold each other accountable for paying back their loans.
