A loan of $3,525 helped a member to buy more new and second-hand clothes and bags to sell and increase stock of lishe.

Mavuno Group's story

Witness, who is in her mid 30s, is married with two children who go to school. She has been running a business of selling new and second-hand clothes and shoes, which she sells door to door, for two and a half years now. She works from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm daily and is able to make a good monthly profit.

This will be her third loan from from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to increase the stock for her business and also prepared and sold nutritious flour to make baby food (lishe). She has repaid all her loans successfully. She wants a loan to buy more new and second-hand clothes and bags to sell. She will also increase the lishe stock. Her dream is to one day be able to open a bricks selling business.

She will share this loan with her loan group, "Mavuno," which has a total of 17 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back their loans.
