Khalida's Group's story

Khalida is 55 years old and a mother of four children: three sons and a daughter. Her eldest son is married and operates a grocery store in the market where he sells daily-use items such as cooking oil, lentils, spices etc. His behavior with his customers is very good and his prices are also very reasonable; that’s why he has a good number of customers who purchase groceries from him regularly. Her other children are enrolled in a local school and getting their education. Khalida stays at home and does her household responsibilities. She has applied for a loan from Kiva partner Asasah because her son wants to expand his grocery store business. With the loan, he will purchase groceries in bulk quantity which will allow him to fill the needs of his clients and earn more profits. He has been operating his business for the past three years and Khalida is hopeful that the loan will help him expanding his business and increase his profits. She is a new loan user of Asasah. Note: In the photo, the lady with a book (called Asasah Passbook) is Khalida.
