A loan of $750 helped to buy general food items for her store inventory.

Consuelo's story

Consuelo is 42 and the mother of three. She lives with her husband, who worked hard to own their own home. Consuelo works out of her home, buying products wholesale and selling them at a mark-up. Her children help her with the business, which she has run for the past 6 years. She enjoys the autonomy her business gives her, but she dislikes being surpised by customers asking for credit. She hopes to grow her business and feels youthful and energetic to work as she has up to now. This is Consuelo's fifth loan with MFP, and she enjoys working with this group, whose members have proven responsable. She also hopes to continue working with her advisor and feels very comfortable with the institution. With a loan of 2,000 soles, she will buy food items and inventory stock for her store.
