Gladys Marina's story

Gladys is a member of the Communal Bank “Mujeres al Progreso de Juli” which is located in the District of Juli, Chucuito Province, Department of Puno. She is 30 years old, married, and has two children. Gladys has a high school education.

Her first loan was in the amount of 500 PEN, which was invested in her business of selling pigs. Gladys now sells handmade embroidered articles. However, her main business activity is selling furniture. She has worked with Manuela Ramos for two years.

With this new loan of 1000 PEN that she is requesting, Gladys will invest the money in her carpentry shop. She will buy wood for making furniture such as tables, beds, wardrobes, and chairs. Gladys and her husband work together in this business.

Her dream is to build a house, make improvements, and buy a car for personal use. What she enjoys most about the Communal Bank are the punctuality, the responsibility, the discussions, and the savings.
