A loan of $625 helped to buy clothes and sandals.

Silvia Fabiola's story

Señora Silvia is a member of the "Las Colinas" communal bank, in the Yarinacocha District in the Department of Ucayali. She is 35 years old and married with two children. Her husband is a policeman.

She has been working with loans from Manuela Ramos for a short time. She works selling clothes and sandals, which she does as a street vendor. Her two children are still young, and she still needs to look after them.

With this new loan of 1,700 New Soles, she will buy: 1.5 units of sandals, 6 units of polo shirts, 6 units of blouses, 6 units of shorts, and 2 dozen sets of underwear.

With her work, she is able to help her husband out, because the salary he earns isn't much, and barely stretches to cover their basic household needs.

She hopes later on to have a small clothing store, and not to have to go from one place to another. She hopes that Manuela Ramos will continue to support her in her life goal.
