Diego Vinicio's story

Diego Vinicio is 26 years old. He is single and lives with his five-year-old son in the Chillanes canton in the province of Bolivar.

The communal bank San Jacinto is located in the San José del Tambo parish, San Jacinto region, belonging to the Chillanes canton. The members of this bank devote themselves to agriculture, mainly growing corn, cocoa, bananas and oranges, and practicing animal husbandry.

Diego devotes himself to growing corn, cocoa, bananas and oranges, and to animal husbandry. The producer buys his supplies in San Jose del Tambo and sells his products at the Chillanes market.

He is seeking the loan for the purchase of compost, seeds, supplies, fertilizers, urea and other types of fertilizers and liquids to prevent infestations and diseases in the crops and keep the products in good condition, and to buy feed for the animals that he raises in order to sell them later at a better price.

The loan will provide him support in meeting his financial needs and improving the quality of the product and his agricultural activities. He faces challenges such as falling prices for the products he sells, as well as the middlemen. His dream is to be able to buy a plot of land so he may plant a little more in order to make better profits for the well-being of his family.

He characterizes himself as an easygoing man, honorable and very responsible, prompt with his payments. He likes to go out and enjoys the holidays, especially the Carnival.
