Paulina's story

Paulina was born in the city of Coya (Pisaq, Cusco, Perú). She’s 49 years old, married and her beautiful relationship produced eleven children. Currently, she’s living in the city of her birth and where she carries out her activities. She manufactures “chicha de jora” (corn-based drink), raises small farm animals and sells beer. She has a small snack bar where she sells her products. She’s been in business 15 years now and does well thanks to the effort she puts into it. The “Señor de los Milagros de Urubamba” (Urubamba Lord of Miracles) communal bank meets monthly in the Pisaq District, Calca Province (Cusco, Perú).
