Irina's story

Irina was born in 1981. She lives in Getahovit village, Ijevan region. Irina is married and has two school-aged children and a newborn daughter. Since 2001, Irina's family has been engaged in beekeeping, animal husbandry and gardening, the income from which helps them to keep their family. Also with the farming income they bought a car which they use to move their farm animals to the mountains. On their farm Irina and her family have bee families, some cows, chickens and turkeys. They also have a beautiful garden where they grow fruits. Irina sells honey to her regular costumers and the other agricultural produce she uses for her family's needs. Often Irina and her husband buy calves, move them to the mountains in summer months and sell them in autumn. This is Irina's second Kiva loan and now she is asking for a 1,000,000 AMD loan to buy fodder (feed) for her farm animals and to repair her beehives.
