A loan of $825 helped to buy blankets and thread for making embroideries.

Cecilia's story

Sra. Cecilia lives with her common-law husband Sr. Guillermo and their five children who are under their responsibility. She resides in a place where the people speak the Tzotzil language.

Cecilia produces embroidered shirts and blankets. She is requesting a loan to invest in the purchase of more materials so that she can work more days each week. Cecilia has been practicing her trade for 20 years and 4 months. She says that she has done very well and has the support of her husband with the household income.

This business is important to her because she can work alone. She also lives in a place where everyone knows how to embroider and sew shirts, blouses, and blankets. Cecilia enjoys her work tremendously.

Her greatest wish for her small business and this is loan is to be able to continue working so that she can support her children and provide them a good education. In time, she hopes that they will pursue a profession.
