A loan of $500 helped to stock up her grocery store.

Maria Isabel's story

Señora Isabel is 54 years old. She is married, and is originally from a town full of culture, which is very close to the sanctuary for the Monarch butterflies.

Doña Isabel has had a grocery store in her home for the last six years. She began her business because one of her children was at that time still a student, and she started the store to help her husband with the costs of her child's education.

Doña Isabel would like a loan to invest in products for her grocery store, such as milk, sugar, oil, light bulbs, shampoo, eggs, and she also now wants to add a small amount of bread to offer for sale in the mornings. She is very enthusiastic about the loan which she will be getting, as she will be able to stock her store, and so her neighbors won't need to to go to the town center to buy necessary items as she will be well-stocked with groceries.
