Gabriela's story

GabrielL., age 30, is married and has three children who attend school. She is from a city that is rich in culture and history. She says that she only went to elementary school because her parents did not have the financial resources to buy her school supplies.

Gaby, as she is known, makes cakes and desserts. She sells them at her place of business that she rents in the city. She says that she has had this business activity for approximately eight years. She started in this business because her husband said that her desserts were delicious. That is why she decided to undertake the business. This way she is also able to help her husband with the household expenses.

She is requesting a loan to buy ingredients like flour, eggs, sugar, whipped cream, and butter, etc. Gaby is very happy about the loan she will receive because she will be able to buy a few more ingredients. That way she will be able make more and go to other places to sell the very delicious desserts that she makes.

GabrieL.’s goal is to give her children a good education. Another goal is to later on open a branch of her pastry shop in another location.
