Karen's story

Karen is 42 years old. He lives in the Aknaghbyur village in the Tavush region. Karen's wife works as a chemistry teacher at a secondary school, daughters attend a paid division of the Yerevan Pedagogy Institute, and son attends a secondary school. Karen works in the village administration. Concurrently with his permanent job, Karen is involved in agriculture. He breeds cattle, grows vegetables and fruits, grapes, and grows animal feed in the field for his two cows and two calves. Karen leaves a portion of grown agricultural products for his family and sells the rest to his neighbors and buyers from neighboring villages and towns. Karen needs a loan in the sum of 1,000,000 dram in order to build a greenhouse, where he plans to grow tomatoes, cucumbers and other vegetables for sale, which will increase Karen's family income and allow him to pay for his daughters' education in the institute.
