Ni Ketut lives in Melaya, West Bali. She is married and has one child who is an adult and one son who is still in school. Her husband works as a farmer. Though Ni Ketut often helps her husband, she also raises pigs in her yard to supplement her family’s income. She has been raising pigs for 10 years.

Ni Ketut is the head of the Tegal Badeng Indah group, which is made up of 10 neighbors from the same village. This is the group’s second loan with MUK. With the Rp 1,500,000 that Ni Ketut receives, she will purchase two piglets and pig feed. She plans to sell the piglets after six months for use as pork. With her earnings, she plans to purchase more pigs. With the income from her pig raising, she hopes to be able to save.
