She is a retired teacher, working in the Didaskalio private school in the city of Acopia. She also has a small business selling clothing. She has been doing this for three years, and it has been going very well thanks to the determination she brings to her business. The loan that Juana is requesting is to buy merchandise, for example blouses, shirts, jackets and other additional items.

The Communal Bank "Virgen de Chapi" meets monthly in the city of Cusco (in Peru). Cusco is well known for being a tourist and business area, for its traditional festival of Inti Raymi, and because it is the location of Machu Picchu, one of the seven wonders of the world.
