A loan of $550 helped to buy products to have in stock, and repair and refurbish her business premises.

Justa's story

Justa, 47, is a hardworking and cheerful woman. She is married but her husband lives outside the country, so she lives alone in her own house. Justa starts her work very early in the morning when she goes to her stall in the Micaela Bastidas market to open her business. There, she starts her day cleaning her work tools and awaiting her customers. Justa provides attractive haircuts for men, and modern cuts for women. Justa owns two stalls; she works in one of them and hires a worker for the other. She has been doing this work for 21 years. What she likes most about her work is to have freedom and to have companions at her side. She always has customers and so generates a good income. In addition, she has a lot of plans for the future in mind; she would like to be able to improve her stalls and buy more items so that she can have a greater variety of products to offer to her loyal customers. This is the 16th loan between Justa and the Institución. She gets along well all of the members of her group, and hopes to continue receiving the support that has been provided up until now by the Institución MFP. With the sum of 1,500 Peruvian soles that she requests, she will buy products to have in stock, and she will also repair and refurbish her business premises.
