Gloria Susana's story

Ms Gloria is a member of the communal bank Las del Rio. She lives in Palmira which has a cold climate and beautiful natural landscapes. The local people are charismatic, cheerful, hardworking and uphold their traditions and culture. They work in agriculture and raise animals. Many of them work in the city in different sectors.

Ms Gloria is very young - she is 19 years old - and lives in a common law marriage. She has a son aged 1 year 18 months. Her husband is a house painter. He has no house of his own and so lives with his mother and shares the household expenses.

Our member, Ms Gloria, has been selling Avon cosmetics and clothes for the past year. She works Monday through Friday, without a fixed schedule, travelling around the city to sell her products.

This is her 3rd loan with the communal bank and she is going to use it to buy cosmetics and clothes to grow her business.

Her goal is to have a convenient place where she can sell her merchandise.
