A loan of $550 helped to purchase flower seeds and sacks of manure.

Cresencia's story

Cresencia is 63 years old, and has lived in Huancayo with her husband for more than 20 years in her own house. Since her youth she has done agricultural work, primarily growing potatoes and corn. On many occasions, weather conditions and instability in market prices have been detrimental to her finances. For this reason, and on the recommendation of some of her relatives, she decided to grow flowers and raise cows in her stable.

From the government office of her municipality, she got a sales stall at her city's market, and from then on she sold her own harvests. Since then her sales have increased little by little and she has a larger profit margin because there is no middle man, since she is the producer and vendor. Her husband also works with her in these labors. Through their many years of marriage, they have raised 4 children who are all grown.

Due to the increase in her sales, she needs to produce more flowers, and for this she needs more capital for planting. This is Cresencia's third loan request. Through the previous 2 she has shown herself to be punctual in her payments and prudent in her investments for the growth of her business. In this case, the money she requests will be used to purchase flower seeds and sacks of manure.
