Alicia's story

Alicia was born in the city of Cusco, in Cusco department, Peru. She is 42 years old and currently lives together with her three children in the same city in which she was born. This is also where she carries out her business. Alicia sells vegetables in the El Molino II shopping center, in the city of Cusco. She has her own sales location which she opens from 6.00am to 8.00pm. On this occasion, Alicia needs a loan to buy merchandise such as butter beans, lentils, kidney beans, soy beans, etc.

The 'El Molinito II' community bank meets every month in the city of Cusco (Peru). Cusco is a very touristy, commercial area. It is known for its traditional Inti Raymi fiesta and is also home to one of the seven wonders of the world (Machupicchu).
