A loan of $1,575 helped a member to buy cloth, thread and laces for her sewing business.

Safia's Group's story

Safia is 58 years old, married and has four children: two sons and two daughters. Her eldest daughter is a seamstress while others are studying. Safia also sews clothes for her neighboring customers to earn profits. She is very good at her work and receives regular orders every month. Her husband works in a hospital and has a low income.

Safia has applied for a loan from Kiva partner Asasah for the further expansion of her clothes sewing business. With the loan, she will buy cloth, thread and laces to sew beautiful dresses for her customers and earn better profits. She has been operating her business for the past four years and is very confident that an investment will help her to increase her profits by providing better quality work to her customers.
