Eva Yaneth's story

Eva’s a member of the “Mujeres al Progreso de Juli” (Juli Women Toward Progress) located in Juli District, Chucuito Province, Puno Department. She’s 20 years old and has a spouse and a son. She studied up to 10th grade. She has a son.

She has worked with the Manuela Ramos Movement for the last year. Her first loan was for 300 new soles and she used it in her embroidered crafts business; she also sells trout.

Now, she will request a 2000 new sol loan to buy twenty bucketsful of trout to sell in the markets in Juliaca and Puno. She works in the business together with her husband who drives a three-wheeled transportation vehicle.

Her dream is to own a house and a car of her own to transport the trout. What she enjoys about the communal bank is the joy, the lightheartedness among the members, the savings and the interest.
