A loan of $1,000 helped to buy clothes and miscellaneous items.

Eric's story

Eric is a 43 year old man living with his wife and children in a community called Osa located in Caña Blanca which is in Puntarenas Province. This community stands out for being a rural community that’s very popular because of its beaches. Its main economic activities are tourism, farming and animal husbandry.

He says that having his wife’s support helps him to continue with his project. He also says that the project interests him very much because he’s seen how his business gradually grows and demand is greater each time because his neighbors in the community have felt satisfied with the service he provides.

What Eric is seeking now is a ¢500,000 (five-hundred thousand colones) loan to buy clothes and miscellaneous items for his business and to provide his project with the best maintenance and assistance possible.

Eric is a member of the Caña Blanca communal bank, one of EDESA’s 110 social organizations in Costa Rica. He hopes with this loan to grow more both personally and economically. He also points out that thanks to this type of organizations and means of facilitating loans he can dedicate more time to productive activities.
