A loan of $500 helped to purchase a compressor for shaping and refining wood.

Marlon Antonio's story

Marlon is originally from the Posoltega municipality of Chinandega, but currently lives in the city of Leon. He is 30 years old, married, and has a 2 year old child. He received a basic primary school education, and studied up until the sixth grade.

Marlon builds furniture. He set up his own business two and a half years ago, when he was 27 years old. However, he has ten years carpentry experience. His low income, economic needs and his desire to develop himself is what motivated him to establish his own business. Every day he strives to give his best and produce fine, good quality furniture.

Marlon requires this loan to purchase a compressor to shape and refine wood. This would be a great help. Owning his own machine means that he does not have to pay for the service separately, and it will decrease his costs and improve the quality of his work.

Marlon's next goal is to purchase modern equipment to help him improve the quality of his work and help his business gain recognition.
