Gmtb-Djeffa Group's story

The nine members of the GMTB-DJEFFA are artisans who work together in Benin. This is the first time that the group has asked for assistance from ALIDé, in order to increase their level of activity.

The group's representative, Tadagbé Augustin, is standing in the photo, with his hand raised. He is 46 years old and married to a retailer named Yvette. The couple has four children, all of whom have received schooling and are in their care. Tadagbé Augustin lives with his wife and four children. Household expenses are taken care of by the couple. In order to meet these expenses, Tadagbé Augustin learnt the trade of masonry. Alongside this, he raises pigs - an activity that he began 10 years ago. He obtains his supplies in Benin. In order to satisfy his customers and to increase his turnover and income, Tadagbé Augustin, along with the other group members, is requesting a loan for the first time.
