Maria's story

María is 42 years old and married. She lives in her own house with her husband and their three children, ages 16, 11, and 10. María sells products by catalog. She does this work at home because she is a housewife. At the same time she uses her time to be able to offer her products to her friends, neighbors, and relatives.

What she likes about her work is that it allows her time for her home, and at the same time it allows her to generate income. She always has customers, and she keeps them because they pay very well. She hopes to keep it as it is, or perhaps later on she will buy a showcase where she would be able to display her products.

This is her ninth loan with MFP. She is very grateful for the opportunity of working with the institution. She hopes to be able to continue this way for several more years. She will use the requested loan to buy products to have in stock. The more her customers ask for, the greater percentage of income she has.
